Position Summary

This position is expected to devise, coordinate and provide timely financial and management report for the Group. This includes preparation of annual budget followed by quarterly and half yearly budgetary review across the business units within the Group.This role is expected to have solid and strong reporting, financial and business acumen skill set.

Main Responsibilities

  • To prepare timely Group management and financial report for the Malaysian operation;
  • Coordinate with senior management and prepare forecasts and budgets to meet business goals with help of accounting staff and documents all accounting records;
  • Develop financial dashboard reporting system, prepare forecasts and reporting tools to highlight performance, potential risks and recommend solutions;
  • Ensure that reports, filings and documentation complies with company’s regulations, professional standards, and IFRS reporting guidelines;
  • Develop and maintain forecast models for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement of company;
  • Analyze all financial reports and assist in improvement and execution process, review all earning releases, administer investor presentations and conference calls scripts to ensure accuracy;
  • Ensure compliance to all reporting requirements;
  • Develop and maintain supporting documents for all financial reports and evaluate it for various departments and committees;
  • Coordinate with various departments and prepare recurring financial reporting packages;

Requirements

An ideal candidate should:-

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’ Degree or Professional Degree in Business /Accounting / Finance / Banking or other related professional qualification;
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification of working experience in similar in-house position with proven track record, preferably with public listed company experience;
  • Highly independence and self driven;
  • Good communicator and a team player;
  • Strong knowledge of Companies Act, IFRS Standards
  • Familiar with MRP/Accounting system, Microsoft Office applications;
  • Always ensure all deadlines are met;
  • Preferably a Member of MIA
